First let me explain something about what PodNova creates after you've set up an account. In PodNova you get two types of personal feeds served, the OPML and the RSS feed. You can find them on your personal page after you've logged in, and they look like this:
The OPML file contains all the podcast stations that you are subscribed to (i.e. if you click on a chicklet
So you can use this in various ways, depending on your personal preference. Some people put the RSS file in their podcatcher, and others use the OPML file.
If you're using the OPML file, then your podcatcher will download *all* the episodes of the stations that you're subscribed to, plus the separate episodes that you encounter and want to listen to (but not fully subscribe to the station itself).
If you're using the RSS file in your podcatcher, then your podcatcher will only download the episodes that you put in there. Some people subscribe to various stations, but add specific episodes in their episode-folder which then will be downloaded by your podcatcher. This way you have a way of organizing, and keeping an eye on your favourite stations, but only downloading the separate episodes you want to listen to.
Hope the above explanation clears things up, let us know if you have any more questions, or suggestions of what you'd like to be able to do within PodNova.

Inse others are having the same challenge as me, will you please explain how one can add a station yet not fully subscribe. In my using the software, I see it all or nothing re subscribing. Also, when subscribing, and adding the opml, it seems as thought everything is downloaded.

Hi Dave,
If you want to subscribe on the episode queue only, you can can click on the blue bar in subscriptions and grab the feed which is in the header of that (station page). The RSS and OPML feed which are on the subscription page are based on you subscriptions and are not related to the seperate episodes. The RSS feed is an aggregation of all your subscriptions (the newest show of every channel you've subscribed to), the opml feed is just a list of all the feeds you've subscribed to.
Hope this clears it up a bit.
regards,
Erik

Thank you so much for your service. This is my main subscription system:
- I manage all my subscriptions online
- I synchronize with iPodder.
This works perfectly for me. And now the single episode feature is very welcome.
There is one thing that I would love to have: an easy way to check new episodes. Almost like a News Aggregator, where I can see the new items in a feed. Similarly, I would like to be able to check a chronological list of the new episodes.
Hope I expressed myself clearly. Thanks for the great work!!
John
